Darrin DeTorres

Darrin DeTorres

Founder, Radical Runs LLC

Darrin DeTorres brings a lifetime of running experience and passion to race directing. Having started running in third grade, Darrin combines his Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the University of North Florida with his deep understanding of the running community to create exceptional race experiences.

As the founder of Radical Runs LLC, Darrin specializes in professional RFID race timing for events throughout Central Florida. His experience includes serving as Social Media Manager for Jacksonville Running Company (a Top 50 Running Store in the US) and pioneering live streaming of high school running events with DistancePreps.com.

His comprehensive race management approach, supported by sister company Notice Me Marketing & Media, ensures every event is both professionally executed and authentically crafted for the running community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Registration is available online through RunSignup. Click any "Register Now" button on our website to be directed to the secure registration page. You can also register in person on race day starting at 6:00 AM, subject to availability.

Early bird registration (before June 1st) is $30. Regular registration (June 1st - July 3rd) is $35. Race day registration is $40 (if available). All fees include race t-shirt, finisher medal, and post-race refreshments.

Yes! Early packet pickup details for July 3rd, 2026 will be announced in the future. Race day packet pickup begins at 6:00 AM at the start/finish area.

For the safety of all participants, pets are not allowed on the race course. However, well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at the post-race festivities area.

Yes! The entire course is paved and accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. We ask that stroller participants start at the back of the pack for everyone's safety.

The race will proceed rain or shine! We only cancel for dangerous weather conditions such as lightning or severe storms. Any cancellation decisions will be posted on our website and social media by 6:00 AM on race day.

There are no age restrictions! We welcome runners and walkers of all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We have age group awards from 1-9 to 80+.

Iggy's Freedom Run raises awareness for Marion County Veterans Park by highlighting their mission and encouraging community engagement. The race brings attention to the park's services and encourages ongoing support from participants and spectators.
